Great to be at Manchester Central for the Manchester Marketing Show. We got to make lots of new friends. Congratulations to @prolificnorth @digitalcityfest and all the organisers for putting on such a great show in difficult circumstances. Next year we hope it will be even bigger.

We were delighted to have our ISO assessments to confirm our accreditation standards of reaching ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 20121:2012 for another year. Whether it is signage, event publications, screens, video or events, we work hard to maintain our high standards so it is pleasing to go through the assessment process and confirm our award. Apart from our quality management and sustainability recognition, it recognises the efforts all the staff put in. We often respond to tenders and these accreditations are essential in meeting the selection criteria. Well done everyone!

 

As part of our preparation for the Marketing Show North at Digital City Expo next month (March 11th & 12th at Manchester Central) we hit the streets and skies to film Manchester at its best. Our digital media unit often go on location to film same day edits and corporate videos but this time it was Manchester and just for us. You’ll be able to see this footage if you attend The Marketing Show North at Digital City Expo, and watch out for one of our LED screens which will be on display at the venue. Our stand is number 312.

With so many attendees from all over the globe, BTME is a hugely important event for the golf industry in the UK and across Europe. Exhibitors are often surprised by the engagement and expert knowledge of the greenkeepers and turf managers who attend and there is a strong case to be made that golf clubs the engage with the wider industry including BIGGA through staff membership, are better run and more successful.

 

 

Busy this week installing screens in pubs. We get a number of requests from people looking to reduce the printed material and swap over to digital. These screens are just the ticket. This pub is in Warrington, but more coming up in Manchester, Liverpool and St Helens. These LCD screens come in a variety of sizes so you can choose what size works best for you.

We were all shouting ‘house’ this week as we delivered our first 50” freestanding LCD digital posters to bingo halls. The delivery crew were busy visiting Manchester and Nottingham as the first venues. We were thinking what our bingo call should be, maybe “33” for “LCD” or “…..nice new screen, 13”. The screens are all wired up for remote dial in to allow the marketing teams to update and change the content as frequently as needed.

Delighted to be heading out to do our first outdoor LED screen installation ‘on course’ at Fulford Golf Club in York, North Yorkshire. We are using two screens outdoor LED screens measuring 3m wide by 1.5m high. The screens will link up to the online scoring system that tracks players as they go around the golf course. Spectators and players will be able to see how the scores are changing as the rounds progress. It should be more fun for everyone at the course next weekend for the British Girls Under 16 tournament.

This month we’ve been supplying some 32” kiosk LCD screens. These are used for checking in guests, visitors, menus outside a restaurant, all the technology housed smartly inside a nice casing that can be branded up. Some have stayed close to home in Manchester and Liverpool, others are going to locations in London and Ireland. Some are showing apps and websites, others show video.

PPL were delighted to attend the ISE exhibition in Amsterdam. This year had a series of spectacular sound and vision experiences to excite the senses. We enjoyed setting foot on the LED dance floor, where we left our mark. We also enjoyed seeing the new LCD rod displays which we look forward to stocking. LED screens and LCD screens are so much more flexible than static posters, and the options keep getting more varied. Manchester and Liverpool have certainly seen their fair share of screen installations of late, and we think this will continue to a town near you soon.
